Chieftain Auto Parts was established in 1973 by our parents Eileen & Peter Heinze. It was the first Automotive Aftermarket Store in Prince George with 4 employees. Today our family business has reached the second generation Jayne & Trevor and third generation Spencer with a team of 36. We have grown and adapted over the years with our priority focusing on the needs and wants of our customers.
In 1995, in order to excel and expand in the always changing and competitive marketplace, we joined the Modern Sales Co-op buying group. As a result, we have been able to diversify our business and provide better access to a wide base of brand name products from across Canada and the USA.
Our dedication and hard work over the past 50 plus years has earned us recognition in our industry. Such as, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce Retailer of the Year and Business of the Year. Chieftain has also been voted #1 in the Auto Parts category Peoples Choice award year after year. In 2023, we were recognized by Jobber News as the Jobber of the Year for all of Canada.
